Established in 2006, Umang is an initiative started by the loving parents, striving for an inclusive society that provides equal opportunity for all, by enhancing the quality of life of individuals with various disabilities. Umang reaches out to individuals with:
skills to make the students more employable, through vocational training. (emotionally, physically, financially)
individuals and their families to bring about and lead the positive change.
the families and the students about their rights and fight for equality and justice.
to the knowledge base through continuous community intervention, research, documentation and spreading awareness about the cause.
to the individuals in rural and tribal areas and promote community participation among them.
The organisation has been tirelessly working towards bringing about a positive change in the lives of individuals with disability by channelizing their potential and empowering them to become self-reliant and participate indiscriminately in the society.
With the support of the most qualified and highly experienced team of experts in Rajasthan, including special educators, qualified academic teachers, physiotherapists, speech and language experts, occupational therapists, psychologists, artists and theatre experts and qualified vocational trainers counsellors, neurologists, orthopaedic surgeons, paediatricians, Umang has so far benefitted over 2000 children with special needs.
